GetOutdoors Kayak Safety Class - Dan River (Eden)
Join GetOutdoors and Dan River Basin Association for a half day of paddling on the Dan River (Eden) to learn the basics of river kayaking; practicing techniques and safety to minimize the chance of injury and have more FUN!
No experience is necessary. Beginner Friendly, approx 4 hours in duration; 14 yrs and up, Co-ed.

Cost: free but if you sign up, please commit to be there otherwise it is taking a valuable spot that someone else would love to have! This safety class is funded by a grant that DRBA secured to empower and educate our Basin paddlers.
If you do not have a kayak, PFD, or paddle, we will provide this for you but you must sign up using GetOutdoors Kayaks.
If you have your own kayak, it is best to use it so you know how it will perform.
An appropriate kayak for this event is good-quality, sit inside or sit-on-top 10ft-14ft with proper floatation.
Four participants are required to run the event, with a max of 10 people.
