Join us on our weekly after work paddles and unwind in the middle of the week.  Use this time to demo a kayak, work on your techniques, or just to relax with other paddlers in a low-stress natural environment.  Many people also use this as an opportunity to try kayaking for the first time.  We provide all of the necessary equipment so all you have to do is show up.  We’ll explore some of our local lake systems and enjoy the company of fellow paddlers.

Typical Itinerary

The After Work Paddles will rotate between various local lakes. Sessions will begin promptly at 6pm and run for 2 hours or longer depending on location. Paddlers who arrive late will not be allowed to participate, and will not receive a refund. Check the store terms and conditions at the end of this page for more information.

Your Responsibility

Guests are responsible for transportation to and from the meeting place and all personal items.

Weather Conditions

The weather is always a factor that demands attention when going out on the water. Kayaking is a very versatile activity; if you’re prepared it’s easy to enjoy the mystical atmosphere provided by light rain or cloud cover. Decisions to cancel trip due to weather (thunder/lightning) will be made at the location of the paddle only.

Reservation Terms & Conditions

Payment for the AWP must be made at the time of sign-up, either in the store or over the phone. Payments cannot be made at the location of the trip. Trip sign-up will be cut-off at 12:00 noon on the day of the trip.

Cancellations must be made 24 hours prior to the trip date and customer will recieve a store credit or reschedule for a different date.

Any cancellation made in less than 24 hours of the trip date cannot be refunded or rescheduled. Anyone who arrives at the lake later than 6:00pm will be classified as a no-show unless prior arrangements have been made. No-shows will not be refunded or rescheduled. Paddles canceled due to weather will be given a credit or reschedule for the afterwork paddle of your choice.

If the trip or class is postponed because of bad weather, it will be rescheduled. If the trip or class is cancelled by Get:Outdoors or if the participant can't reschedule to the new date, the trip fee will be refunded.

All participants are required to fill out a trip application form and sign a liability waiver before participating in any trips or classes.
