Remix XP9
It is often said that there is gap in kayak design, that no “one” kayak excels in whitewater yet carries speed across flat calm lakes and slow moving rivers… that is until now. The Remix XP was designed to bridge the gap between the two once and for all. The Remix XP is an extension of our popular river runner series and although its roots are firmly planted in whitewater the XP’s extended waterline allows it to cruise the flats with ease. The XP has and integral skeg which when deployed offers superb tracking but with the skeg tucked away the XP offers the agility needed to excel on whitewater.

    1. Great Boat!! Review by JackC

I purchased my XP-9 in May/10. I have paddled my XP-9 from Florida to Michigan on both flatwater and Class II-III whitewater. This is by far the most versitle kayak I have ever paddled. (Posted on 5/22/11)

    2. Excellent boat for rivers and up to Class III whitewater Review by Metzbower

My wife and I bought two of these boats in October 2010 and immediately ran an 8 mile section of the Nantahala River. It had a lot of class II rapids and one class IIi at the end. It was my first time paddling whitewater and the Remix XP9 was incredibly stable and responsive. I did not use the skeg on this trip, as it reduced the ability to maneuver in quickly flowing water. On later trips on the Dan River and New River the skeg was useful for helping the boat track straight in windy conditions along with slower moving water. The seating came with pads that I added to to get a snug, but not tight fit. It is easy to add or remove the pads in the 'Bad Ass' seat. My feet got a little cramped at times. The Remix XP9 sits low in the water and a spray skirt is needed on all but the flattest water. The exceptional stability of the boat, along with the ability to carry gear in the rear hatch cause me to highly recommend it. Small, 24 inch float bags are available for the forward area to displace water in case you do roll and need to wet exit. (Posted on 5/18/11)
